I spotted an interesting new piece of research on the very popular Mashable blog, it is illustrated by the infographic below.
For me, what is most interesting is the number of people in the US who actively post views and comments about politics onto their Facebook feed. Considering the number of people who vote, this is a pretty high number. My Facebook feed is full of people making political comments but I wonder if that is true for the majority in this country (those who don't have loads of friends who work in politics or the media).
X Factor and other reality or celebrity TV shows will drive comment as will people's lives generally but, in the times we live where the decisions made (or not made) in politics are potentially so huge, surely people here are as politically motivated, aren't they?
