Have you noticed how the 'sports news' reports on TV and radio are increasingly nothing more than summaries of what is going on in football? This morning was a classic example. Sky News filled their 5 minutes of sport with a run-down of speculation of who might (or might not) be leaving which Premier League football club, with a quick mention that Jessica Ennis 'only' won a Silver medal at the world athletics championships.
No mention of the tennis in New York - despite having one of their regular morning team based there for two weeks - or the latest cricket action and no mention of a British cyclist leading the Tour of Spain.
Perhaps, as Chris Froome rides for the Sky Pro Cycling Team and I was already watching Sky News, they didn't think I needed to be persuaded of the brands attributes? Or maybe football really has taken over the world.
