BBC knock British companies

Leading the BBC news this evening is the announcement from British Gas of price rises for its eight million customers. As usual the media coverage - particularly from the BBC - has gone into overdrive in reporting this as they always do when consumers are impacted by a privatised British company.

Admittedly a 7 per cent increase does seem a bit steep but it's as if journalists don't want British Gas, BT, BA, BP et al to make money and be successful. Profit is a dirty word. Perhaps they would be happier if they all went the way of MG Rover?
