Battle of the Battle Bus

The rough and tough image of Australian politics has taken a bit of a battering lately with first a Prime Minister in Kevin Rudd who cried whenever the going got tough  followed by their first sheila  female Prime Minister.

The once essential Battle Bus may be out of vogue in UK elections but it seems they are still an essential part of elections Down Under. News reaches me that police are examining the campaign bus of independent Port Macquarie MP, Peter Besseling, to determine whether it had been tampered with after oil leaked from his Battle Bus causing a three-car accident. The vehicle's oil system seems to have been cut.

It appears that Australian politics just became a contact sport again.
