Double standards from The Guardian

Reading the Guardian report of the student demonstration yesterday, the newspaper seems to be advocating a harsher line should have been taken by the Metropolitan police.

I agree. The unfortunate thing is that if the Met had waded in to the protesters the first people to complain would have been the Guardian.

And who would have been under pressure to face up to the consequences of their actions? Not the lawbreakers but the police.
