President Obama was right to allow himself to be called 'dude'

President Obama has appeared on the hit US comedy/current affairs programme The Daily Show and caused quite a stir. It has moved the Republican Party to claim that he has sullied the office of President.

I have previously blogged about the need for politicians to engage with a variety of audiences to do all they can to get their message across. It was just a shame that Jon Stewart felt the need to call President Obama 'dude'. However, with the situation the Democrats currently find themselves in, it is times like this that leaders need to put themselves on the line.

To me Obama did ok. Like most modern politicians he is a natural on TV but watch the full interview here and decide for yourself.
